Changing Nameservers
If you registered your domain with CirtexHosting, it is already pre-setup so you may skip this step.
In your welcome e-mail, you’ll find 2 Nameservers, they look something like this: ns##.cirtexhosting.com
If you registered your domain anywhere but at CirtexHosting please go to your domain registrar and change your Nameservers to the ones found in the welcome e-mail. If you’re unsure how to do this, check some of our tutorials on the major registrars here.
Please allow up to 48 hours for the domain name to fully propagate and resolve to our server.
Control Panel
We’ve included with your account, the industry standard in control panels, CPanel. It is our opinion that this control panel is the best in the industry for user-friendly. Here’s some quick instructions on the control panel, and how to use it. Note, anywhere it says ‘youripadress’, Input the site IP address from your welcome letter.

To get to your control panel, use the following URL:

To get to webmail, use the following URL:
http://youripadress/webmail - Before DNS propagates

Uploading Content
To view your website BEFORE DNS propagates, view http://youripadress/~cpanelusername/
(Note, you must keep the trailing slash in place)
To upload content to your site, you should use an FTP client such as CuteFTP or SmartFTP, or you can use the File Manager located in your CPanel. You can download SmartFTP here.
To use FTP, you would use the following common settings:
Host: youripadress
Username: [ Same as CPanel ]
Password: [ Same as CPanel ]
Port: 21
Passive Mode: Off
All files you want to be viewable at your root domain (i.e. www.yourdomain.com) should go into the public_html directory, this is the root of your publically viewable website.

Billing Issues
Your fees are automatically billed every month on your credit card, for paypal users you will need to submit payments manually via our billing system unless you have an active paypal subscription setup. If there is a problem with your invoice, we will send you an e-mail. If you need help with your billing account, cancellations, upgrades, information updates, or anything else related, please submit a ticket to our billing department via our helpdesk.
